It's been a little while since I posted an update here so thought I'd let you know what I've been up to recently.
In March, in celebration of International Women's Day, I created a playlist and and illustrated its cover for a special edition of Illustrated Tapes! I chose a selection of some of my favourite songs by my favourite female artists to make a playlist that communicates experiences of women and honours some of the most incredible women in music.
Illustrated Tapes is a collaborative project exploring and celebrating the relationship between music and visual art, one mixtape at a time. Created by London based designer and illustrator Sam Ailey.
If you haven't already, go check out the Illustrated Tapes website and listen to the themed playlists and see some of the amazing artwork put together by a range of people in creative industries (including Ry Macarayan, Molley May, Shake Bristol, Molly Fairhurst & Megan Reddi).
You can listen to my IWD playlist on Spotify here:
And read the interview I wrote about my choices for the tape, as well as my favourite women in the worlds of music and visual art:
This was such a dream project for me and it brought be so much joy to put it together, so thanks so much to Sam for creating the Illustrated Tapes series!
I have some very exciting projects coming up soon so watch this space...
All the best,
